About Amanda:

Amanda Diekman is an author, autistic and PDA adult, and parenting coach.

She created the Low Demand Parenting framework to help families of disabled and demand-sensitive children find connection, safety, and joy. With a lifetime of lived experience as a late-diagnosed autistic adult — and a parenting journey that spans toddlers to teens — Amanda brings rare insight into both the challenges and possibilities of neurodivergent family life.

Backed by two Duke degrees and deep study in the nervous system and polyvagal theory, Amanda combines academic rigor with personal authenticity.
