Your kid is gone,
and you just want them back.
My child was completely unrecognizable.
Up until that point, we had been cruising through life preeeetty close to normal. Sure, every day was hard, but I thought that's just how parenting had to be.
I thought everyone had to have their child sleep in a pitch black room, and that everyone had to cut up their sandwiches just so, and everyone had elaborate routines just to get out the door.
It was hard, but we were making it.
But then, it was like a switch flipped, and all I knew was that something was very, very wrong. My child started refusing to go to school. They started throwing things at their siblings and melting down with behaviors so extreme that none of us knew what to do. And even worse, they would only eat two foods and started struggling with toileting and sleeping through the night again. No one tells you that taking care of an elementary-schooler can be harder than a newborn.
"You just need better boundaries."
I tried that and mercy did it make everything 10x worse! Now my child was terrified of me and saying they didn't want to be alive. I tried googling everything. I read all the books, tried new therapists and parenting programs. But it didn't matter how gently I parented or how strictly I held boundaries--Nothing worked to bring my kid back or bring our family back to stability.
But when I learned my kid was in burnout,
that's when everything changed.
It wasn't that I was the world's worst parent.
I just didn't know how to support a child in burnout.
Understanding and supporting burnout is the key to stability for your whole family.
No more frantic googling: "Why is my daughter suddenly so aggressive with her siblings?" or "Why my 13-year-old they addicted to buying Fortnite skins?" or "Why does my kid flip the table when they lose at Uno?" or "Why does my teenager stay up all night long?"
Skip the awful part where you're stumbling alone through so many treacherous pitfalls. Learn from my many mistakes, and the wisdom I've gained from coaching hundreds of families along their own burnout-healing journey. You're not in this alone anymore, and you're not wandering in the dark.
You've got a burnout roadmap.
With this approach, you will get your kid back.
A PROVEN HEALING FRAMEWORK.
Childhood burnout typically moves through 3 distinct phases. Knowing which phase you're in and how to parent your child, teen, or young adult through the uniqueness of each phase is pivotal for moving from chaos to stability.
This is your burnout map, guiding you forward with key moves, don't-do's, and mastery tips to take the fear and mystery out of burnout.
SUPPORT FOR YOUR UNIQUE KID.
This customized healing path works for all families -- whether your kid experienced a traumatic event, had undiagnosed neurodivergence, has a medical condition like PANS/PANDAS, or you don't know why this happened at all.
This approach isn't just for some kids. It's for all kids who are so distressed that life isn't working anymore.
NO SHAME.
NO JUDGMENT.
NO PUNISHMENTS.
You're not a bad parent, and you definitely don't have a bad kid. You're living with behaviors that 99% of families don't understand. But you won't hear, "Oh, I would never let my kid get away with that" here. No judgy eye rolls. No shaming "Have you tried..." suggestions.
Just pure, honest trust in you, your child or teen, and your family, that you can get to stability and thriving again.
"a complete 180 turnout"
"My daughter was in an almost constant meltdown, with small glimpses of regulation. She was violent and abusive to her brother and to us – it was an incredibly rough time.
Fast forward to now, just a handful of months later of truly implementing Amanda’s Low Demand Parenting and violence is WAY down, sleep has become accessible and we have been able to start homeschooling. It has been a complete 180 turnaround.
Working with Amanda has been a transformative, life-giving experience.”

Instead, you will create plans that work for your unique family, without needing to prove or explain yourself to anyone.
If it works for you, we love it.
Video Modules & Live Calls

In the FIVE 90-minute live teaching calls, you get direct support in a healing community. People tell me these 90-minute calls do more for their relationship with their child than a year of therapy.
We cover:
Meltdowns & shutdowns
What is actually happening in your kid's body and brain when they are raging or completely shut down (and why this knowledge changes everything).
Kids in burnout
The powerful moves and key mistakes most parents make in burnout -- so you can move through it as quickly as possible.
Aggression & safety
The four essential safety plans every family needs so they can get good at "the bad stuff."
Dropping demands
Where you can let go of the pressure to proactively reduce 50-90% of meltdowns before they start (and start to breathe again as a family).
Medication & body-based supports
How to shift your kid's capacity through directly supporting their body and nervous system -- without triggering more meltdowns, aggression, or avoidance.
“I am not exaggerating when I say that Amanda's course changed my family's life.
We were already implementing a low-demand lifestyle after reading her excellent book, but the chance to go deeper with Amanda herself has helped us truly understand and connect with the why of all the changes we are making.
And it has made SUCH a difference for all of us in terms of prioritizing trust and connection and focusing on healing our nervous systems.”

Meet your guide:
Hi! I'm Amanda.
Not many people in the world truly understand how hard the parenting road can be. I know that there are many parts of your journey that are uniquely yours, that I haven't experienced myself. I also promise that I will never belittle your struggle, make simple suggestions to complex problems, or blame you or your kid for the suffering you've experienced.
Having walked my own hard journey, I work every day to honor and support yours.
I am a late-diagnosed autistic mom of three, having discovered that I am not just "quirky" or "high-strung" or "too sensitive" at the ripe age of 38, only months after going through an assessment for one of my kids. I rebuilt our entire family dynamic after my 6 year old went into autistic burnout, having seen the dark side of what happens when your beloved kid cannot trust you anymore.
I worked for months to rebuild that trust, and now I wouldn't sacrifice it for anything in the world.
I wrote the book "Low Demand Parenting," a worldwide parenting bestseller, out of the experience of stabilizing my own family. We have worked through countless meltdowns, shutdowns, panic attacks, and aggressive crises. I have developed a unique expertise in combining a trauma-informed, attachment-oriented parenting approach with supportive strategies for medication, therapy, health, and lifestyle changes, all within a neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Basically, we're going to do all we can to support our kids, knowing that often means more than just parenting changes.
I have spoken on stages around the world to share the life-changing message of shifting our expectations to meet our kid right where they are at. But nothing lights me up as much as working directly with you to heal your heart, shift your mindset, and stabilize your family.
You don't have to do this alone.
“This course was deeply healing for me and my relationship with my child.
Amanda embodies what she teaches in such a generous and authentic way, and I am so grateful to have had this chance to learn from her."

I struggle with courses. How much time is required?
What's the deal with the 2 logins?
Do I need to have all the modules finished each week? What happens if I can't make one of the LIVE Q&A sessions?
I’ve read so many parenting books. What makes this different?
Can’t I just try to piece a plan together from reading your book or watching your IG?
How is this different than your other courses?
I feel like we have the type of situation that no one else has. What if my child is too far gone or I'm too burnt out to learn anything?
Is this only for parents of neurodivergent or PDA kids? Have you heard of PANS/PANDAS? What about adoption trauma?
I saw you were formerly a pastor. Are there religious materials in the program?
Is my child/family welcome here? Are you Queer affirming?
“I am struck by the incredible warmth & gentleness that Amanda demonstrates through her work with others & sharing her own journey.
When parents are in the phase that drives us to seek support -- burnout for our kids, burnout for ourselves sometimes -- we just want the answers so. incredibly. badly. Amanda really models how to approach ourselves with curiosity and to find our own path. I loved getting to experience Amanda's compassion & curiosity over & over again -- it's truly such a gift.
